Airfield Briefing Room Log Cabin

Customer Requirement

This Airfield Briefing Room log cabin was a unique project. The remit was to provide a log cabin building large enough to accommodate a large office area, 2 other private rooms, a small eating area and toilet facility.

Airfield Briefing Room Timber Building

This timber building required full planning permission due to its location and size.

The design was such that the large timber office area has 3 large tilt and turn windows facing up and down the runway. The planners also required the building to be raised significantly off the ground, which posed several construction issues prior to the commencement of this project. The log cabin needed to be fully insulated and double glazed throughout and with a log thickness of 58mm.

Construction of the log cabin took around 5 weeks with the additional decking area with wooden balustrade completing a very successful and rewarding build, please take a look at the pictures below.
