Fully Fitted Log Cabin Project

Customer Requirement

This log cabin was supplied to a couple who wanted another room for additional living.

Preparation

This timber building required the consent of local planners who were extremely keen to make sure we adhered to the rules even down to the correct roof tiles and the correct distance from boundaries.  We managed to get the planners to agree in the end.

There were drainage issues and plumbing requirements to overcome to ensure both the kitchen and the shower room met with building regulations. 

Log Cabin Build

The building was supplied by Bertsch and was built in a 45mm log with floor and roof insulation also provided. The windows and doors are all fully double glazed and in this heat the whole cabin was nice and cool to be in due to these additional features.

This was erected by ‘Allaroundthegarden’ timber building and decking specialists and erected near Lewes in East Sussex.

It’s now a wonderful building which has a bedroom, lounge, kitchenette and shower room  and is currently let out to a vocalist for one of the world renown local opera venues.
